The tiger is one of the most well adapted animals when it comes to survival. Every tiger has a unique coat, just like our fingerprints. This acts as a camouflage in the forests. Tigers' eyes are well adapted for night vision - six times better than ours. Their teeth and claws are long and sharp, used to grip and tear apart prey. For tigers, the sharpest sense is hearing. With white spots behind them, their ears are also used to identify each other.Tigers are also incredibly smart. For example, they walk backwards into water to keep an eye on their surroundings. Also, they know to keep downwind of prey, so that they are not discovered.
A tiger's diet consists mainly of wild pigs, but they may also feed on Sambar deer, Chital deer, Water buffalo, Guar, and monkeys.
